Team - Tim Hess
Tim Hess is Managing Partner of Wintergreen Real Estate Co., High Country Associates, and High Country Utility. Tim has spent his career in planned community operations, marketing and sales. Since 1975, Tim has been involved in the development of Wintergreen, a 10,900 acre community in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Tim and his partners are the master developers of the Wintergreen community and have passed the one billion dollar mark in sales of resort and primary home property. Resulting from sales success, the Wintergreen Community has developed into a respected primary home community, second home destination and full resort destination.
Tim's primary accomplishments include:
Marketing strategy and positioning of the real estate products offered by the company since 1999, resulting in a 500% growth in sales.
Successful sales input for home site orientation, size, design and pricing for over 1,800 home sites in 36 neighborhoods.
Design input for both multi-family and single-family homes for the Devils Knob Village, a total of 24 product types of multi-family and single-family homes representing approximately 1,300 dwelling units.
Design input for the Wintergarden Restaurant & Spa.
Design input for the Wintergreen Mountain Inn and Conference Center.
Design input, pricing & marketing for the Stoney Creek community within Wintergreen, representing a Clubhouse, an 18 hole Rees Jones golf course, and 900 home sites.
Development and ownership of the Stoney Creek Medical Center and Valleygreen Shopping Center.
The acquisition and restructuring of Wintergreen Development.
The acquisition and restructuring of Alberene Stone Company. As a result of Tim's efforts, mining and manufacturing of architectural stone has been brought back on line at the United States' largest soapstone deposit. Tim was formerly the Chairman of the Board.
